Leave a Legacy

The YWCA of York is a founding funder of Leave A Legacy-York County, which is a collaborative effort among non-profit organizations, estate and financial planning professionals, and the media to promote gifts to charities through wills and estate plans. The program encourages people of all ages to make gifts to non-profit organizations of their choice. Research has shown that while over 70% of Americans give to charitable contributions throughout their lifetime, only 6% leave a charitable bequest in their will.

The message of Leave a Legacy is simple: it is right and appropriate to leave behind a message about the ideals, values, and organizations that were important to us during our lifetimes.
