Scuplt and Glide - Interval Training A dynamic workout combining cardio, strength, flexibility and stability into one workout. Intervals include segments of cardiovascula work (step and/or low impact) with segments of gliding utilizing discs to sculpt and condition.

When: Wednesdays 6:00 - 7:00pm and Saturdays 9:00 - 10:00am

Adult Fitness Class Descriptions
 

 ABS Plus

30 minutes of powerful exercises for the midsection.

   Beginner Yoga Designed for the very beginner. Learn basic poses while increasing strength, flexibility and relaxation.
 

 Cardio Mix

One hour of cardio variety combined with exercises for overall muscle conditioning.

 

 Cycling Learn to ride and feel like a champion!
Experience an array of hills, drills and intervals to strengthen, burn
calories and improve endurance. This class is limited to 10 participants.
 

 On the Ball

Improve flexibility, strength, coordination and balance while sculpting the body utilizing the stability ball.

 

 Pilates

Matwork for all levels. The Pilates technique focuses on strength & stabilization of core muscles of the body to improve posture, create longer leaner muscles, & increase circulation through breathing techniques.

 

 Yoga

A series of poses carefully designed to balance the body and quiet the mind.

 

Zumba

A cardio-based workout designed for everyone, every shape and age.  This unique Latin inspired dance class incorporates a little salsa, samba, mambo and rumba
for a fun and easy workout.  Guaranteed to keep you coming back for more!!!

Low impact dance aerobic designed for the active mature adult.

 

 Young at Heart

Light aerobic movements combined with exercises for strength.

YWORKS Fitness Center:
Personal attention is yours at YWORKS. Our professional, caring staff will provide you with personal fitness evaluations, basic nutrition information, goal planning and programs designed just for you. The YWORKS Fitness Center is reserved for women only and include a free weight room, cardio-room, massage room and sauna. NOTE: Personal Fitness Assessments are required for all new members prior to their first workout. Contact YWORKS Fitness Center at 845-2631 Ext. 23 to schedule.

Healthy Solutions for Healthy Lifestyles:
A 12 week Nutrition and Weight Management Program meeting individually with nutrition/exercise coach Carol Myers for guidance in establishing better eating and exercise habits.
Fee: $60.00 for 12 weekly sessions
          $120.00 for 12 weekly sessions and unlimited use of fitness center
(YWCA membership required)

Body Comp Testing:
Measure your current percentage of body fat, lean body mass, basal metabolic weight & total body fluid. Recommendations are provided to help achieve your fitness goals. Appointment required.

Lunchtime Express: 1/2 hour fitness classes Monday through Friday (see fitness grid for classes offered during this time.)
